Federal and State Agencies Brief Norfolk City Council on Eagles Nests

Norfolk International Airport Eagle Management Council briefing issues a press release

Representatives from Federal and State Wildlife Agencies briefed Council members on the Communities and Public Safety Committee regarding the eagle’s nest at the Norfolk Botanical Garden. The documents have been posted:

“The city will work with the Botanical Garden, Norfolk International Airport, USDA Wildlife Services, State Department of Game and Inland Fisheries to determine to mitigate and maintain safety of people and property.

When we determine the next steps, that information will be shared with the public.

No decision regarding the nest is being made at this time.”
